Shell Food grade chain lubricants for chains in food processing are subjected to a very high level of cleaning and washing down with water.

Therefore it is essential that the lubricant is resistant to emulsification while remaining adhesive enough to prevent washing off. Food grade chain lubricants need to be able to protect against exposure of the unprotected chain to oxidation resulting in rapid chain rusting and subsequent wear.

At OEM Lubricants Ltd we have a range of food grade lubricants produced by Shell that are all NSF (USDA-H1) approved to cover all types of chains and these can be summarised as follows:

For High Temperatures (Ovens and Dryers)

Shell Cassida Chain Oil 150
Fully synthetic, high performance anti-wear chain oil.
Operating temperature - 30c to +150c (pour point - 54c)

For Low Temperatures (Freezers and Cold Storage)

Shell Cassida Chain Oil 1000 (Aerosol)
